Provincial club champions will take to fields across metro and on the mainland this week as Canada Soccer hosts its annual club national championships.
Holy Cross Nutra Holdings Women and Holy Cross Kirby Group Men will take their double title defence to Ottawa as they compete in the Jubilee Trophy and Challenge Trophy nationals, pitting the top amateur clubs in the country against each other. Feildians women will also compete in the Jubilee nationals as the second placed NL club.
The U15 tournament takes place in B.C. where St. John’s represents the boys, and Conception Bay South Strikers are the NL girls representatives.
The U17 championships are hosted by St. John’s, along with Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South. NL has two entries in each division, with St. John’s and Paradise representing the girls, and St. John’s and Mount Pearl representing the boys.
