Vision
- To serve in an advisory capacity to the NLSA Board, assisting in the planning, evaluation and/or oversight of technical matters
Mission
- To merge the professional leadership of NLSA staff and the expertise of sport volunteers to review, discuss and make recommendations for current technical programs and structure, along with new events and/or programs
Structure
- Will be comprised of a minimum of one NLSA Board member
- Shall include NLSA technical staff, chaired by the Director of Player Development
- May include independent members with multisport expertise
- One representative from the NLSA Officiating program
- Other committee members will represent the following regions of the NLSA community:
- Labrador East
- Labrador West
- Western
- Central
- Burin Peninsula
- Trinity-Placentia-Conception Bay
- Avalon East
- CBS
- Mount Pearl
- John’s
- Director of Player Development to be the liaison between the NLSA Board and the Technical Committee
- Director of Player Development will report to the Board of Directors at the next scheduled Board meeting after the Technical Committee have convened
- Term for each committee member will be two (2) years
- Appointment of all committee members must be approved by the NLSA Board
Meeting Schedule
- Committee to meet four (4) times per year
- Two (2) meetings to be in person and two (2) to be conducted via video conference call
- April: In person
- July: Video
- October: Video
- December: In person
